Air Fryer Honey Glazed Chicken Katsu

A go-to order at any Japanese restaurant is the chicken katsu. It’s crispy from the breading and juicy from the chicken, then you dip it in the sauce and it’s an absolute flavor bomb. 💣 Many people tend to overestimate how easy it is to make it right at home! Follow this recipe and it’ll be as easy as 1, 2, 3! This Honey Glazed Air Fryer Chicken Katsu is 100% beginner friendly. Try it to find out for yourself!

Serves:3 // Prep Time:10 minutes // Cook Time:18 minutes


  1. 1-1.5 kilo chicken breasts pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
  2. 3/4 cup flour
  3. 1/2 tsp salt
  4. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  5. 2 eggs
  6. 1-2 cups panko crumbs
  7.  Honey Glaze Sauce


  1. Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. For breading, lay out three plates. In one, season flour with salt and garlic powder. In another, beat the eggs. In a third, pour panko crumbs.
  3. One at a time, dredge chicken cutlets in flour, dip in the egg, and coat with panko crumbs.
  4. Then cook in air fryer for 10 minutes on one side, then flip to cook for another 8 minutes.
  5. Plate chicken and drizzle Honey Glaze Sauce on top!

This makes for the perfect dinner over a bed of fluffy rice. Pair this with your favorite cold drink and call it a night!
