1. Cold Noodles

Calling all noodle lovers, what if we told you that you could have noodles in the summer, without feeling like you’re about to overheat? 🤔 Koreans have cracked the code to enjoying noodles in the summer with their cold noodles! They’re refreshing and flavorful, but the best part is there are so many different kinds. Two of our favorites are Bibim Guksu (Korean Spicy Cold Noodles) and Mul Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles in Chilled Broth). Bibim Guksu has wheat flour noodles that are slightly chewy in texture and covered in a savory garlic sauce. It’s often topped with vegetables and an egg! Mul Naengmyeon, on the other hand, sits in a cold broth that's tangy and savory with a touch of sweetness. Similar to Bibim Guksu, the noodles have a chewy texture as well. Slurping these noodles down on a hot summer day will definitely give you the revival you need. Make sure you try this out as the sunny days are ahead!

This is the ultimate summer drink and snack in one! Subak Hwachae is a traditional Korean fruit punch that's made with various fruits and sweet drinks. The drink part in it of itself is usually water sweetened with honey, syrup, or sugar, but now it’s not unheard of for people to use carbonated drinks like sprite or ginger ale as well! As for the fruit, you can use whatever you want! Melons such as watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe are great options. You can scoop them out into balls, which makes them so much more fun to eat. Points for presentation if you serve this in the hollows of the melon. 😉 This drink is also often enjoyed with another person over conversation.
