Crispy Baked Tofu (2-3 servings)

Ingredients

  • Extra firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup KPOP Sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of minced ginger
  • 1.5 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Directions

  1. Begin by first pressing the tofu - this means removing any excess water. To do this, take a plate and line it with paper towels. Remove the tofu from the packaging and place it on top of the paper towels. Take another paper towel and place it on top of the tofu and then take a cutting board or another plate and place it on top of the paper towel. This process will remove any excess water out of the tofu, making it even more delicious. Some people will press tofu for as long as 8 hours. For the sake of time, 30 minutes will do, but if you have the time try to do it longer.
  2. While the tofu is being pressed, begin mixing the other ingredients into a large bowl.
  3. After pressing the tofu, begin cutting the tofu into smaller cubes or rectangles and then add it to the bowl with the sauce and begin mixing so that all the tofu is coated in the sauce. Then let the tofu sit in the sauce for approximately half an hour or longer.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F. While the oven is heating up, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place the tofu pieces on top, covering the tofu with the left over sauce in the bowl.
  5. Bake the tofu for 30 minutes, flipping the pieces over half way through. Then wallah, you're done.
  6. The tofu can be served on its own or with rice and vegetables. Enjoy!
