KPOP Sauce with Holiday Prime Rib

KPOP Holiday Prime Rib (3-4 servings)

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs of prime rib
  • 1/4 cup of KPOP Sauce
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

Directions

  1. Remove the prime rib from the fridge approximately 2 hours before starting to cook. With paper towels, pat down the prime rib to remove any extra moisture.
  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F. While the oven is heating, mix the KPOP Sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a medium bowl.
  3. Place the into a roasting pan or roasting rack with the fatty side up and bones facing down. Pour on the marinade, covering the sides and top and massaging in as much as possible. Then place the prime rib into the oven and let cook for 25 minutes. Cooking prime rib at this high temperature will create a flavorful, well-browned exterior.
  4. After 25 minutes, bring the oven temperature down to 325°F and then leave the prime rib in the oven for 13 minutes per pound (ex. 5 lbs of prime rib should stay in the oven at 325°F for 65 minutes). Additionally, you can use a meat thermometer aiming for the following temperatures, depending on liking: Medium Rare = 130-140°F or Medium = 145-155°F.
  5. Once the prime rib is cooked, remove it from the oven and cover it with tin foil and let it sit for 30 minutes. After that, cut the prime rib, serve, and enjoy!
