Ingredients

  • 1/2 KPOP salmon fillet (cooked) - see below for full recipe
  • 1/4 Korean pear, sliced thinly (can be found at Trader Joes, but can also substitute using any pear)
  • 1 yam or sweet potato
  • 1 cup of broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons of KPOP Sauce (add more for additional flavor and heat)
  • optional ingredients for garnishment: nori or seaweed, sesame seeds, and thinly sliced green onion

Directions

  1. To start, wash the yam. You can either cook the yam in the oven or in the microwave. When using the microwave, which is the much faster option, start by using a fork and poking holes throughout the yam. Once done, place the yam in the microwave for 3 minutes. Check the yam to make sure its soft. If the yam is still hard, place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds to a minute. Once cooked, begin cutting the yam into smaller pieces.
  2. Add a small amount of oil to a pan over medium heat and add the broccoli to cook. Continuing cooking the broccoli until slightly charred on the outside, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Add the KPOP Salmon fillet, the yam, broccoli, and Korean pear into a bowl. If available, add the optional toppings and of course some extra KPOP Sauce and enjoy!
