KPOP Grilled Cheese with Ham

Triblend Ham Grilled Cheese Sandwich (makes 2 sandwiches)

Ingredients

Cheese Spread Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated pepper jack
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon of thinly chopped basil
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped red onion
  • 2-3 tablespoons of KPOP Sauce

For Sandwich & Assembly

  • 4 slices of deli ham
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise (for spreading on side of bread to make golden brown)

Directions

  1. Prepare the cheese spread. Mix well all of the ingredients for the cheese spread into a medium to large bowl and then set aside.
  2. Heat up the ham. Using a pan over medium heat, cook the 4 slices of deli ham. Depending on how thin the cut is, the ham will cook quickly so be prepared to cook each side of the ham for 30 seconds. Once cooked, set aside and wipe the pan to prepare it for cooking the sandwich.
  3. Assemble the sandwich. Spread one side of each slice of bread with mayonnaise so that the sandwich will be golden brown on the outside. Place 2 slices of bread down on the pan over low to medium heat with the mayo side down. Divide the cheese spread across the two slices of bread on the pan, leaving some of spread aside.
  4. Place on the two slices of ham and then spread the remainder of the cheese spread and then place the other slice of bread on top with the mayo side facing out.
  5. Finish cooking the sandwich by turning the heat up to medium and covering the pan with a lid to help melt the cheese. Cook each side of the sandwich for about 3-5 minutes, or until bread is crispy and browned.
  6. Once done cooking, cut the sandwiches in half and serve. Be prepared to make some more though cause people are going to devour the sandwiches in a blink of an eye!
